The Federal Service for Intellectual Property is under the Ministry of Economic Development of The Russian Federation. The Federal Service for Intellectual Property is a Federal executive authority performing functions of control and supervision in the area of the legal protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights, including patents and trademarks. Also it is responsible for the legal protection to intellectual property rights and also the procedure for their exploitation, said procedures are established by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Federal constitutional laws, the Federal laws and other statutory legal acts; the performance of control and supervision of examination of applications for intellectual property rights and the issue of protective titles in the manner established by legislation of the Russian Federation; the registration of intellectual property rights and also license agreements and assignment agreements in the sphere of intellectual property and publication of data on the registered intellectual property rights.
